September is bringing new opportunities for leadership, service, and connection at Creation Village World School. In our latest 3 in 30, we’re highlighting three important dates and opportunities for our students and families to have on their calendars.

From Student Government Association elections to serving our local community and welcoming families to our MYP and CP Open House, here’s what’s happening around our Village.

SGA Campaigning Begins This Week, Elections September 8

Student leadership is an important part of the Creation Village experience, and this week, students will begin campaigning for positions within the Student Government Association (SGA).

The campaign process gives students an opportunity to share their ideas, communicate with their peers, and demonstrate the leadership qualities they hope to bring to our school community. It is also a meaningful way for students to practice confidence, responsibility, communication, and active participation in their school.

SGA elections will take place on September 8.

We look forward to seeing our students support one another throughout the campaign process and exercise their voices as they select this year’s student leaders.

Packing 18,000 Meals on September 4

Service takes center stage on September 4 as our Village comes together for a special food-packing event in partnership with AdventHealth and the Celebration Foundation, with an ambitious goal of packing 18,000 meals for local families.

This experience gives our students an opportunity to see how individual actions can become something much greater when a community works together. Through hands-on service, students can put compassion, collaboration, and responsibility into action while making a tangible difference for families in our surrounding community.

Help Us Go Beyond the Meal: Mini Crockpot & Can Opener Drive

As we prepare for the food-packing event, Creation Village families can also support our community through our Mini Crockpot & Can Opener Drive.

Many of the families receiving these meals may not have regular access to a traditional kitchen. Mini crockpots and can openers provide practical tools that can help families prepare and access the food they receive.

Donations may be dropped off at Harrison Hall through September 3.

By contributing to the drive, our families can help ensure that our September 4 service project goes beyond packing meals by providing useful resources that can continue supporting families at home.

We are excited to see our Riverhawks work side by side as we strive toward our 18,000-meal goal and demonstrate what it means to turn compassion into meaningful action.

MYP & CP Open House on September 15

Families are also invited to save the date for our upcoming MYP & CP Open House on September 15.

The Open House will provide an opportunity to connect with the Creation Village community and learn more about the student experience within our Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Career-related Programme (CP).

As an IB World School, Creation Village is committed to developing students who are curious, thoughtful, compassionate, and prepared to apply their learning beyond the classroom. Our MYP and CP experiences provide opportunities for students to grow academically while developing the skills, character, leadership, and confidence needed for what comes next.

We look forward to welcoming families and sharing more about these important years in a student’s educational journey.
