Creation Village World School Students Support Deer Woods Park Clean Up in Celebration, Florida

At Creation Village World School, learning extends far beyond the classroom. Recently, our students had the opportunity to put service into action by participating in a community clean-up at Deer Woods Park in Celebration, Florida. In partnership with the Celebration Garden Club and Exquisite Lawn Care, our Riverhawks worked together to help restore and enhance this important local green space.

During the clean-up, students assisted with cutting back dead vegetation, removing branches, and refreshing the park’s pollinator garden with new plants. This hands-on experience allowed students to actively contribute to environmental stewardship while learning about the importance of sustainability and caring for natural ecosystems. The revitalized pollinator garden will continue to support bees and other essential pollinators, helping to maintain a healthy and thriving environment for the community.

This experience reflects the core values of an International Baccalaureate (IB) education, where students are encouraged to become caring, responsible, and active members of their communities. Through meaningful service opportunities like this, students develop key IB Learner Profile traits such as being caring, principled, and open-minded, while also strengthening collaboration and leadership skills.
