CP students step into healthcare careers

Career-related Programme students at Healthcare Careers Shadow Day

Our Career-related Programme (CP) students stepped into the professional world for Healthcare Careers Shadow Day.

Students spent the day at a real work site, observing healthcare professionals and support teams as they carried out their daily work. Experiences like this let students explore career pathways, ask meaningful questions and understand the skills, collaboration and commitment the healthcare field requires.

Building on a 10-week hospital program

Last spring our Grade 11 CP students completed a 10-week volunteer program at AdventHealth Celebration. To close it, they presented to hospital staff about what they had learned and how the program shaped their understanding of healthcare careers, then joined a professional business lunch with people from the industry.

Connecting classroom learning with real professional experience is at the heart of the IB Career-related Programme. Learn more about the CP.
