Why an IB education?
The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world. At Creation Village we pursue it as a Christ-centered school: every attribute is taught through CREATION Life and a biblical worldview.

The IB learner profile
Ten qualities we grow in every student
The learner profile describes capacities that go beyond academic success. Students meet it in PreK3 and carry it to graduation.
Inquirers
We nurture our curiosity, developing skills for inquiry and research.
Knowledgeable
We develop and use conceptual understanding, exploring knowledge across a range of disciplines.
Thinkers
We use critical and creative thinking skills to analyse and take responsible action on complex problems.
Communicators
We express ourselves confidently and creatively in more than one language and in many ways.
Principled
We act with integrity and honesty, with a strong sense of fairness and justice.
Open-minded
We critically appreciate our own cultures and personal histories, as well as the values and traditions of others.
Caring
We show empathy, compassion and respect.
Risk-takers
We approach uncertainty with forethought and determination.
Balanced
We understand the importance of balancing the intellectual, physical and emotional parts of our lives.
Reflective
We thoughtfully consider the world and our own ideas and experience.
The IB through a biblical lens
The learner profile, lived in Christ
We teach every attribute through the CREATION Life principles, so the qualities the IB values grow from a life centered in Christ. Three examples:
Caring
Showing compassion to people and to creation, and serving others.
Principled
Acting with integrity and owning their words and actions.
Reflective
Looking back with gratitude and growing from every experience.
